Set up something your event offers

Say what you want to do, and Tito sets up the rest.

5 steps · About 3 minutes

  1. Open the offerings section and select New offering

If it isn't in the sidebar, add it from All features at the foot of the sidebar list. See Features.

    Your eventSet upOfferings
  2. Pick the job that's closest to what you want

There are five, and each one asks only what it needs:

    • A choice between options for workshops to attend, or gifts to take home.
    • An optional add-on for a t-shirt or parking.
    • An included extra for something everyone with that ticket gets, like a tote bag or access to the afterparty.
    • A bookable time slot where the same thing runs several times and bookers pick when.
    • A donation for a voluntary amount on top of whatever somebody is booking.
    go.tito.io/acme/summer-fete/admin/offerings/set-up
  3. Fill in the one screen it opens

Name what you're offering and answer what that job asks. You can edit or remove any of it afterwards.

    go.tito.io/acme/summer-fete/admin/offerings/set-up?job=choose
  4. Say who it's for

It goes on every ticket type unless you say otherwise. Turn on Only offer it for certain ticket types and pick the ones you want. A donation is the exception and asks nothing here, because it goes with the order rather than with a ticket.

Starting from a ticket type is the one case where this arrives already answered: the switch is on with that ticket picked, because that's the ticket you were adding to. Change it here if you want it on others too.

  5. Select Save

You land on the page of the thing you just made, with what it's sold with, what it asks, and the portals it can be ordered through.

Starting from a ticket type lands you back on that ticket instead, with the new thing listed on it.

Everything here goes on sale as soon as you save it, the same as anything you make from New offering. Each one has its own On sale switch on its own page if you'd rather close it for now. See Offerings.

Choosing between several things

This one opens by asking what they're choosing between, and the answer decides what you fill in.

Things they attend is the time blocks below. Things they get is a list of things with no times: name the choice, name the things, and say how many they take. Everyone with a matching ticket is then asked to pick, and what they pick comes with the ticket at no cost.

Set At least to 0 and they can take none.

At most caps how many they take. For two of five, put 2 in both.

Offer the same choice on more than one ticket type and each ticket gets its own rule over the same things, so you can ask a VIP to pick two and everyone else to pick one. Changing one rule doesn't change the other.

Bookers answer it after they've chosen their tickets, on a screen of its own, and only for the tickets they actually took. A choice on a ticket nobody in the basket bought is never put in front of them. The screen is laid out a ticket at a time, with each ticket's name over its own questions, so somebody taking two different tickets can see which is which. Somebody buying two of the same ticket answers for each of them, numbered the way the same tickets are numbered when they fill in names.

Things they attend

Name each option, and use Add a description where there's something people need to know before they pick, such as what it covers or what to bring. The description appears under the option's name when somebody is choosing.

A block starts with three options and Add another adds more.

Add another time block is for a second set of choices, so a morning workshop and an afternoon one become two separate picks. Add an option that runs all day is for something that takes the whole day instead.

The all-day one is set up for you as a choice a booker can decline, and as a replacement for every other block on the screen. Take it and you aren't asked about the rest. Leave it and you're asked about them as usual. See Offer two things as alternatives for doing the same to blocks you made separately.

Name this block arrives filled in, and buyers read it above the options.

Clear it and the block goes by the date and time it runs instead.

Everything on this screen can be changed afterwards from the block's own Edit, including the options and the time they all run at. See Run a session more than once.

An included extra

This one opens by asking what it is, and the answer decides what gets made.

Something they attend has a time on it, like access to the afterparty. It goes on your event page with that time, on the ticket, and in the calendar file.

Something they get has no time, like a tote bag. It's an item that comes with the ticket, so it shows under that ticket with an Included label, no quantity to choose, and a line on the order at nothing.

Booking a time

Set Places at each time, then add the days people can come. Each day is a card, headed by its date, and each time is a row inside it. Add a time is the last row of the card, and Add another day is under them all. Once there's more than one day, Copy the first day’s times to every day fills the rest in, numbers included.

Places at each time is the default, not a rule. Every row has its own Places box, so a morning that holds 200 and an afternoon that holds 120 are two numbers on two rows. Leave a box empty and that time takes the default.

Every time belongs to the same thing being booked, so a buyer picks once however many days there are.

One booking, however many ticket types buy it.

Connect it to two ticket types and both are offered the same times out of the same pool: a place taken by one is a place the other can no longer have. You don't set the times up once per ticket type, and you don't have to split the capacity between them in advance.

Selling something

Most per ticket caps how many one person can add for each matching ticket in their order.

This screen has three switches, all off to start with, and each one opens its own settings underneath it.

Charge some ticket types a different price opens a price box per ticket type. A blank box charges the price above. Type 0 to give it away, which is how a VIP ticket comes with a free t-shirt. Turn the switch off again and everyone pays the price above.

Ask a question about each one attaches questions you've already written. Each one is asked once for every one they buy, so two t-shirts means two sizes. See Create a question.

Only offer it for certain ticket types is the third, and it works the same way on every job except donations.

Taking donations

Suggested amount fills the box in for the booker, and Minimum amount is the least you'll take. Set both and the row says both, so nobody types an amount you're going to refuse. Somebody who types less than the minimum is told so and keeps everything else they'd chosen.

Finding one

Offerings has a search box, a Filter menu and a count of what it's showing, the same as your ticket types.

Search matches the name and the line under it, so "workshop" finds the offering called Workshops and the item called Workshop place. Filter narrows to sessions, items or donations. Setting one leaves a chip beside the box saying which is on, and searching with a filter set keeps it on.

When it sells

An item or a donation can sell for part of your ordering window rather than all of it. Open it, select Edit, then Advanced.

go.tito.io/acme/summer-fete/admin/products/1?tab=advanced

Sale starts is when buyers can first order it. Leave it blank and it's on sale straight away.

Sale ends is when it comes off sale. Leave it blank and it comes off when registration closes for the whole event. Give it a date after that one and buyers can order it on its own once tickets have closed. See Decide when registration closes.

You can start from the ticket type instead. Add something, beside What comes with it, shows everything the event already has that could go on that ticket, so one tap adds it. Make something new is under the list, and it opens these same five jobs. Pick one and the whole set-up happens in front of the ticket type without leaving the panel. Saving takes you back to the ticket with the new thing on it.
