Set up your own email sender
Point ticket and order email at a domain you own, verified through DNS.
7 steps · About 5 minutes · Needs: A domain you own, and access to change its DNS records
-
Open Account settings then Email senders
Your accountSettings -
Select Add sender
go.tito.io/acme/admin/settings/email -
Enter the whole From address and a From name
The from address is the full address, like
tickets@myconf.com. The from name is optional. -
Leave How your email is sent on Through Tito
To send through your own mail server instead, see Send through your own mail server.
-
Select Add sender to save it
The domain's page opens with the records to add, and shows Waiting for DNS.
-
Add every record the page shows, at your domain's own provider
Three groups: the DKIM CNAME records, an MX record on a
tito-mail.subdomain for bounces, and an SPF TXT record alongside it. Add them exactly as shown, since type, name and value all matter. If your provider adds your domain to whatever you type in the Name box, enter only the part before your domain, likeabc123._domainkey. The page tells you if it finds a record under a doubled name. -
Wait for DNS, then press Check now
Most providers apply a DNS change within minutes, and it can take up to an hour to be visible everywhere. Tito checks every 15 minutes and ticks each record it finds, so press Check now when you'd rather not wait.
The sender goes live on its own once every record verifiesOnce it goes Live, ticket and order email goes out from the address you set here, for every event that uses it. Your first address is your default, which every event uses unless you choose another in its settings, under After registering. To send from more addresses on the same domain, open it and select the link at the foot of its addresses.
