Sign in for the first time

Sign in with a passkey, Google, or an email link and authenticator code.

3 steps · About 5 minutes · Needs: About five minutes. A phone is handy but not required.

Sign in with a passkey, Google, or an email link and authenticator code.

  1. Choose how to sign in

On your first visit, enter your email and choose Send link. For Google or an existing passkey, choose Other ways to sign in at the bottom of the card. A passkey signs you in directly using your fingerprint, face scan, or PIN.

Tito remembers your email and last successful sign-in method in this browser for 90 days. For passkey sign-in, check the address under Signing in as and choose Sign in with a passkey. The pencil beside the address changes it.

If no email is remembered, choose Other ways to sign in, then Passkey, enter your email and choose Continue.

  2. Follow the email link

If you chose Send link, open the link in your email and choose Continue. The link lasts 15 minutes and works once. It’s used up when you continue, so you can copy it into another browser first.

If it hasn’t arrived after a minute, check your spam folder, then use Send it again.

The first time you use an email link, choose how you’ll confirm it’s you: Passkey or Authenticator app. A passkey uses your face, fingerprint or screen lock, and is named after the device you add it on. For an authenticator app, scan the QR code, then enter the six-digit code it shows. If you can’t scan it, choose Can’t scan it? Type a key instead and copy the key into the app.

On later visits, an email link is followed by one way to confirm it’s you: your passkey if you have one, otherwise the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. The links under it switch to the other ways, including Use a recovery code.

  3. Save your recovery codes

Download or copy the codes when they appear, then choose the button under them to carry on. This is the only time they’re shown. Each code works once, after an email link, if you lose access to your passkey or authenticator app.

If you lose both your sign-in method and recovery codes, contact Tito support.

Manage passkeys

In Edit profile, choose Passkeys or Authenticator app. You can view your current sign-in methods without confirming your identity. Adding or removing a passkey or setting up an authenticator app opens a separate tab. Confirm your identity there if asked, complete the change, then close the tab and return to your profile. Your profile refreshes when you return.

You can remove a passkey from the same screen. Keep another passkey or an authenticator app before removing the last one.

Google sign-in

You can use Google without setting up a Tito passkey or authenticator app. If Google doesn’t manage your email address, you’ll also confirm a Tito email link.

An account can require Google verification. If you signed in another way, you’ll be asked to verify with Google before entering that account. Tito keeps both verifications, so switching accounts doesn’t require another sign-in. Company single sign-on requirements still apply.
