Limit how many people can come
Cap how many of a ticket you sell or how many a room holds, and see what's left as it sells.
4 steps · About 3 minutes
There are three caps and they do different jobs. A ticket type's quantity is how many of that ticket you'll sell, and each ticket type has its own. An option's capacity is how many people the room holds, whatever tickets they arrived on. The event's capacity is how many tickets the whole event can sell, across every ticket type. See Set how many tickets the event can sell.

A bookable time slot sets them all at once.Places at each time on the set-up screen is the default for every row. Every row still has its own Places box, so a morning that holds 200 and an afternoon that holds 120 are two numbers on two rows. Leave a box empty and that time takes the default.
Sharing one room across ticket types
Connect a session to two ticket types and both are offered the same options out of the same pool. A place taken by one is a place the other can't have.
Places per ticket on the connection is how many places one ticket uses. Set it to 4 and a family ticket takes four.
When an option is full
An option with no places left is shown as sold out and can't be picked. The rest of the options carry on. The On sale switch is separate, so a full option stays open unless you close it.
An option that hasn't enough places for the whole order says so before the booker fills anything in, naming how many are left. They can take fewer tickets or pick another option.
When every option is full, the ticket can still be bought. There's nothing left to choose, so the buyer isn't asked, and they get the ticket without a place. They can pick an option from their ticket later, once one has room.
When a place goes back on sale
A place is held from the moment somebody starts an order, so two people can't take the last one at the same time.
It goes back on sale when:
- an order isn't paid in time and lapses.
- you cancel the order, or take that ticket off it.
- you cancel the ticket.
- you move somebody to another option. The place they held goes back straight away and one is taken in the option they moved to. See Move someone to another option.
The panel says so and lets you do it. Nothing puts the extra person back, so raise the capacity or move somebody out.
How many are left
An option's own page carries its numbers, and the Options report says the same thing for every option at once. See Build a report.
An item counts the same way, on its own page. See What an item's page shows.
