Ask for donations

Put a voluntary amount at the checkout, with a figure suggested and a minimum you'll accept.

6 steps · About 2 minutes

A donation goes with the whole order, so it's offered once however many tickets somebody buys.

  1. Open Offerings and select New offering

  2. Pick A donation

  3. Name it

Buyers read the name beside the box they type an amount into.

  4. Set Suggested amount

This fills the box in for the booker. Leave it blank and they start from nothing.

  5. Set Minimum amount

The least you'll take. Leave it blank and any amount goes.

  6. Select Save

Set both and the row says both, so nobody types an amount you're going to refuse. Somebody who types less than the minimum is told so and keeps everything else they'd chosen.

Good to know

  • A donation can sell for part of your ordering window. Sale starts and Sale ends are on Advanced, the same as an item's. See Sell extras alongside tickets.
  • Somebody can give without buying anything else. People can add it without a ticket is on to start with, and it's on the donation's own page if you'd rather it only appeared alongside a ticket.
