A question written once can be asked on any event you run. Questions are what people answer themselves, at checkout or when a ticket is assigned to them.

Anything you fill in yourself, like a seat number on somebody's ticket or a note only your team reads, is metadata. So is a Wi-Fi password or a hashtag about the event. Both live at Settings → Metadata. See Keep metadata about an event and its attendees.

Used on this event is what this event asks, plus any question no event asks yet, so a question you've just written is in the list when you come back to it. All beside it is everything in the library. The two tabs appear once there's something in the library this event doesn't use.

Good to know

A question's Type and export name are fixed once it exists.

Changing what it collects means making a new question. Answers already collected keep their original meaning.

A question is asked nowhere until you put it somewhere. Where it’s asked on the question's own page lists the ticket types, portals and forms that ask it, and Ask it somewhere else adds another. A question you haven't asked anywhere yet says so, with Choose where it’s asked under it. See Choose who answers a question.
Reorder sets the order for the whole account, and every place that asks the questions follows it: booking forms, ticket types, portals and request forms, on every event.
You can limit a question on the order form to orders that include certain ticket types. Select the pencil beside the row in On the order form, under Ask only if the order contains:. Picking no ticket types means every order.
