Claim or decline an invitation for someone

Record somebody’s answer when they replied another way, like answering the email, and issue their tickets.

6 steps · About 1 minute

  1. On the invitation's own page, open Actions

    Your eventShareInvitations
    go.tito.io/acme/summer-fetes-summer-fete/admin/invitations
  2. Select Claim for them… or Decline for them…

Claim for them… is there until the invitation is claimed. Decline for them… is there while nobody has answered.

  3. Choose the tickets

If the invitation offers more than one ticket, or more than one place, choose which and how many. The page warns you when a ticket has run out, the deadline to claim has passed, or a ticket has a price. You can still claim it, and a paid ticket is issued free of charge.

  4. Add a reason

Write down why, for example that they replied to the email. Only your team sees it, on the invitation's page.

  5. Choose whether to tell them

When you claim, tick the box to email them their RSVP confirmation, with their tickets. Otherwise nobody is emailed. Declining never sends an email.

  6. Confirm

Claiming issues their tickets, and the invitation shows Claimed. Declining shows Declined, and their link still works if they change their mind.

Good to know

  • The invitation's page shows who claimed or declined it for them, when, and the reason.
  • To undo a claim, use Cancel their tickets… on the same page.
