Correct the name and email on an order

Fix a mistyped address so the confirmation, receipt and invoice reach the booker.

6 steps · About 2 minutes

  1. Open the order

    Your eventOrders
    go.tito.io/acme/summer-fete/admin/orders
  2. On the order's own page, open Actions and select Change name and email

  3. Change the Name, the Email, or both

  4. Select Save details

Changing the address brings up a confirm page naming the old address and the new one.

  5. Leave Send the confirmation and tickets to the new address ticked

The booker gets their order link at the address you just entered. On an order still waiting to be paid, the check offers the payment request instead.

  6. Decide whether to leave Stop the old address opening this order ticked

It starts ticked, so the order gets a new link and the confirmation that went to the wrong address stops opening it. Untick it when the old address is the booker's own and the links you sent there are still wanted, such as an invoice, a receipt or a payment link for a booker who's moved to a new address.

Tickets that belong to an attendee by name keep their links.

The order and any unassigned tickets get new links. Someone who has their own ticket can still open it and still scan in.

On an order that's waiting to be paid, ticking the box closes the payment the booker had open.

They pay from the new link in the payment request, so leave the send box ticked too.

This is the order's own address.

It's where the order's paperwork goes. To transfer a ticket to someone else, edit that attendee.
