Give a ticket away with another one

Set a rule so ordering enough of one ticket earns another one free.

1. Open the ticket that comes free, and select Advanced on its edit form

   You set the rule on the free ticket. The rule names the ticket that earns it.

2. Under Registration, turn on Give it free with another ticket

   The settings open underneath it. Turn it back off to stop giving the ticket away.

3. Pick the Qualifying ticket

   The one people have to order to earn this one.

4. Set Tickets needed and Free tickets earned

   How many of the qualifying ticket make one full group, and how many free ones each group gives. A group can earn up to 100 free tickets.

5. Select Save ticket type

   The rule repeats for every full group. For example, at three needed and one earned, an order of nine qualifying tickets earns three free ones.

   Once a rule exists, the ticket's own page shows a Free with other tickets section too. Select its count to change the rule from there.

Good to know

The qualifying ticket says so on its own page, under Makes other tickets free. That's also where Stop giving it free removes the rule.

People see the offer as they go. Your event page says what they qualify for and offers to add it in one step.

Nothing is added to an order for them. Once a free ticket is in the order, the same line confirms it is free and says which tickets earned it, and the order summary says so on the discount line. Someone who has earned more than they have taken sees both: what is already free, and how many more they can still add.
