Give a sponsor their own allocation

Allow a partner to hand out a capped set of tickets themselves, and manage any updates independently.

1. Open Portals and select New portal

   If it's not in the sidebar, add it from All features at the foot of the sidebar list. See Features.

2. Give it a Name

   Who this allocation is for. A Registration address is optional, and leaving it blank builds one from the name. Either way Tito adds a random ending, so nobody can guess the address.

3. Under How the allocation works, choose how they're limited

   Any tickets, up to the allocation takes a total and a tick against each ticket type they may issue. A set number of each takes a number per type, and the allocation is the sum of those.

4. Add a Contact email if you have one

   That's where the private portal link goes.

5. Switch on Lock this portal to specific email addresses or domains if only certain people should get in

   List one address or domain a line, like amgen.com or paul@amgen.com. Anyone else who follows the link is asked to sign in and turned away. Leave it off and the link works for whoever holds it. See Portals.

6. Select Create portal

   Nothing is emailed yet.

7. On the portal's page, open Link and send it

   If you gave a contact email, the button beside it opens an email to them. Start from a suggested message fills the subject and the body with wording you can change. Their name goes at the top and the private link underneath, so you write the part in the middle.

8. Open Ticket types to change what they can hand out

   Each answer saves as you make it. A portal has to keep at least one ticket type, so switching the last one off is refused.
