Create a ticket type

Add a ticket type with its own name, price and quantity, on sale as soon as you save.

6 steps · About 3 minutes

  1. Open Set up and select Ticket types

    Your eventSet upTicket types
    go.tito.io/acme/summer-fete/admin/ticket-types
  2. Select New ticket type

    go.tito.io/acme/summer-fete/admin/ticket-types?new=1
  3. Give it a Name and, if it helps, a Description

The name shows on the event page and prints on the ticket. The description is one short line under it.

  4. Set the Quantity, or leave it blank for unlimited

This is how many of this one ticket are available, separate from the capacity of the whole event.

  5. Set the Price, or leave it blank for a free ticket

The dropdown beside the price picks a tax rate from the account's library. Add a rate… makes a new one without leaving this page. See Taxes.
A price that changes over time starts here too. See Sell one ticket at several prices.
  6. Select Save ticket type

What comes next

The Advanced tab of its edit form adds the optional settings: caps per order, companion rules, whether attendees can change their own details, downgrades, anonymous tickets, QR codes and a color. See Change a ticket's name, price or quantity.

A new type sells on your event page unless you say otherwise.

You choose where else it shows on the type's own page, once it exists. See Choose where a ticket is sold.
