Create a ticket type

Add a ticket type with its own name, price and quantity, and choose whether it goes on sale when you save.

6 steps · About 3 minutes

  1. Open Set up and select Ticket types

    Your eventSet upTicket types
    go.tito.io/acme/summer-fetes-summer-fete/admin/ticket-types
  2. Select New ticket type, then One at a time

    go.tito.io/acme/summer-fetes-summer-fete/admin/ticket-types?new=1
  3. Give it a Name and, if it helps, a Description

The name shows on the event page and prints on the ticket. The description shows under it, with any line breaks you type.

The buttons above the Description box make words bold or italic, add a link or start a bulleted list. A link opens in a new tab, so somebody partway through buying a ticket keeps their place.
  4. Set the Quantity, or leave it blank for unlimited

This is how many of this one ticket are available. Every ticket type has its own quantity. The event can also have one number for every ticket type together. See Set how many tickets the event can sell.

  5. Set the Price, or leave it blank for a free ticket

The dropdown beside the price picks a tax rate from the account's library. Add a rate… makes a new one without leaving this page. See Taxes.
Price it another way, under the price, is for a ticket with tiered prices, volume prices, a bundle price or a price each buyer chooses. See Sell one ticket at several prices and Let buyers choose what they pay.
  6. Select Save and put on sale

Or select Save off sale, and it stays off your event page until you turn on the On sale switch on its own page. See Put a ticket on or off sale.

What comes next

The Advanced tab of its edit form adds the optional settings: caps per order, companion rules, whether attendees can change their own details, anonymous tickets, QR codes and a color. See Change a ticket's name, price or quantity.

A new type sells on your event page unless you say otherwise.

You choose where else it shows on the type's own page, once it exists. See Choose where a ticket is sold.
