Ways to register
Every place people can register for your event, in one list, each with a switch.
What you can do here
An event can be reached at more than one address. It has its own page, and it picks up more as you add audiences, portals, request forms and widgets. Ways to register lists them together and lets you switch any of them off.
Open it from the View event page button at the foot of the sidebar. The button itself still opens your event page. The control beside it opens this list, and it appears once the event has a second address.
The switch on each row closes that address, and switching it back opens it again.
With three addresses or more, the list gets a search box and a Filter menu. Search matches a row by its name and by the address under it, and Filter narrows the list to one kind: the event page, audiences, portals, ticket requests or widgets.
When ordering stops
The panel opens with the date registration closes for the whole event. A switch can't say this: a page that's still public takes no orders once that date has passed. Change opens Registration in settings, where the date is set.
Once that date has passed, the panel says so at the top, because every row can still read Public and none of them can take an order.
What closing does
Closing one address leaves every other one selling. That's the point of the list: an event page you've closed can still sell through a portal you sent to a sponsor.
What a visitor sees depends on the kind of address:
- An event page, an audience page or a portal link stops being available. Somebody following the link gets the ordinary "page not found".
- A request form stays up and says it's closed, so people part-way through asking aren't left guessing.
- A widget on your own website stays up and says tickets aren't on sale.
Good to know
Ticket types keep their own on-sale state. A ticket type selling on two audience pages carries on selling on the other one.
- Each row's name opens the screen that address was made on, which is where you edit it or make another.
- Closing an event's own page is the same switch as Secret event in Settings. Both write the same state, so whichever you use, the other shows it.
- Closing a request form by hand doesn't change the closing date you set on it.
- A draft event has no public addresses at all, so the list shows that instead of switches.
