Check-in

Named lists for the door, so two doors count separately.

What you can do here

One list is enough for one door. An event with more than one door can have a list each, and each list tracks its own arrivals. A list covers every valid ticket, or only the tickets that include one of the event's offerings.

The door page opens on Still to arrive. A search looks inside the view you're on. If it finds nobody, it offers Search everyone.

Writing to the people a list is showing

Actions on a door page offers Message these people, which opens the message composer with the audience already made from the view you're on: Still to arrive, In or Everyone. A search you typed in the box doesn't come across.

The whole view comes across, this door included. On an event with several doors, Still to arrive on the side door means the people that door hasn't seen, so somebody already in at the main entrance is still in it. A list restricted to one of your offerings hands the offering over too.

Check the filters on the To line to see what came across, and open the count beside them to read the people themselves. That count can be lower than the number of rows you were looking at. Somebody holding three tickets is three rows here and one email there.

Handing the door to your door staff

Somebody working the door needs the door page and nothing else. Add them to your team on the Door role, which is Check-in on its own, and limit them to this event. They sign in on their own phone, reach the check-in lists, and can't open orders, attendees, money or settings. See Give a colleague access and Limit a colleague to certain events.

Good to know

Each list keeps its own record.

The same ticket can be checked in on one list and not another, if it's eligible for both.

  • Every check-in answers in the same place, in color. Green means they're in, amber means the ticket is already in on this list and shows the time it arrived, and red means the ticket isn't valid.
  • Undo is beside that answer, so you can take back a wrong scan on the spot. You can also undo a check-in later from that person's own row. Either way you're shown who arrived and at what time before it goes, and the change is recorded on the ticket's history.
  • A refunded order's tickets are voided automatically and can never be checked in. They're left off the door page, and scanning or typing one says the ticket was refunded. A ticket made invalid some other way says only that it isn't valid.
