Add a footer to your pages and emails

Put your own small print, such as an Impressum, at the bottom of every page and email people get from you.

9 steps · About 4 minutes

  1. Select Customize in the account bar

    Your accountCustomize
  2. Select the Frame tab, then Add a footer

If your account already has a footer, it's there instead.

  3. Beside Small print, select Edit

The footer's words open in their own window. They take headings, bold, italic, links and lists, up to 10,000 characters. A link can be a web address or an email address, which suits an unsubscribe line.

Insert adds a picture or a photo grid, such as your partners' logos. A picture can link to a web address. The PNG and JPEG files in your theme are listed under Pictures in your theme, and choosing one adds it as a picture.

The window is for the language the preview is showing. Write the footer in each of your languages. Anyone reading in a language you haven't written it in sees a version you have written.

  4. Select Save

  5. Under Logo and colors, set up how the footer looks

    - Footer logo takes a PNG or JPEG up to 10 MB. It's separate from your main logo. - Where the footer logo sits puts the logo above, below, left or right of the words. On a narrow screen, a logo beside the words moves above or below them if there isn't room. - Footer logo link is where the logo goes when someone selects it. It takes an address starting https://. - Footer background puts the footer on a strip of color, the full width of the page. Turn it on to choose the colors. - Footer background color is the color of the strip. - Footer text color is the color of the words on it. - Show it in emails too puts the small print, footer logo and colors at the bottom of every email buyers get from you. Columns and social links are only on your pages.

If the text color is hard to read on the background, people get black or white text instead, whichever is clearer. A note under the colors says when that happens.

  6. Select Publish

The footer appears at the bottom of every buyer page. On a short page it stays at the bottom of the window. In an email it's below the message, the same width. Your account name at the end of an email and the "Powered by Tito" line on a page are still shown.

To add columns of links and social links, see Add your website’s header and footer.

Every event uses your account's footer until you change it for that event.

  1. Open the event, select Customize, then the Frame tab

  2. Select Give this event its own footer

It starts with your account's footer, so you can change what's there. Beside Small print, select Edit to change its words.

  3. Select Publish

Once an event has its own footer, your account's footer isn't used for that event in any language. Someone reading in a language you haven't written the event's footer in gets it in a language you have.

To go back to the account's footer, open the menu beside Footer and select Use the account’s footer. The event's own footer is deleted in every language.

On the event's Frame tab, select No footer on this event, then Publish. The event's pages and emails then have no footer, so no words, footer logo or footer background. Every other event keeps your account's footer.

If the event had a footer of its own, it's kept. Select Give this event its own footer to bring it back.
