Add a tax rate

Put a rate in your library so any ticket or product on any event can use it.

1. Open Settings, then Taxes

   Your eventSettings

   Both routes reach the same library. The account's Settings has a Taxes section, and so does every event's.

2. Select Add a tax rate

   go.tito.io/acme/summer-fete/admin/settings/taxes

3. Enter a Name, a Jurisdiction and the Rate (%)

   The jurisdiction is a label buyers see on receipts, invoices and quotes.

4. Select Add tax rate

   You can't change the percentage afterwards. To charge a different one,

   add another rate.

Without leaving the ticket you are editing

You can make a rate wherever you set a price, on a ticket type or an add-on, without going to Settings.

1. Open the Tax rate dropdown and choose Add a rate…

2. Enter a Name, a Jurisdiction and the Rate (%)

3. Save the ticket type or add-on

   Adding the rate saves what you were editing too.

Charging no tax

Choose No tax in the same dropdown.

Good to know

• A rate with the same name, jurisdiction and percentage as one you already have is refused. If the one you already have is archived, Restore it.
