5 steps · About 2 minutes
-
Open Set up and select Ticket types
Your eventSet upTicket types -
Select New ticket type, then Several at once
On an event with no ticket types yet, Add several at once is also offered beside Add your first ticket type, on the list and on the event's overview.
-
Type a row for each ticket type
go.tito.io/acme/summer-fetes-summer-fete/admin/ticket-types/severalA name is all a row needs. Leave the price blank for a free ticket, and the quantity blank for unlimited.
Add a row gives you five more and keeps everything you've typed.
-
For a price that changes over time, select + Add a later price under the name
The price you've typed becomes the first tier, and a row for the next price opens under the ticket type. Each tier has its own price, how many are available at it, and the dates it runs. See Sell one ticket at several prices.
Start the next tier early if one sells out is asked once, under the table, and applies to every ticket type with tiers in it.
-
Select Save and put on sale, or Save off sale
Whichever you pick applies to every row.
What it tells you before it writes
If there's nothing to tell you about, the ticket types are added and you land on the list.
If there is, the table comes back first with everything marked and nothing added. Press the button again to go ahead.
- A row that can't go in as it is says why, under its name: that it needs a name, or that the price or quantity couldn't be read.
- A name you already have is marked under the row. You can go ahead, and you then have two ticket types with the same name.
Every ticket type that could go in has already gone in, and what's left is the short list still to deal with, with what you typed still in it.
What comes next
Each new ticket type is priced in the event's currency, with no tax rate. Tax, a description, the price when no tier is on sale, where it's sold and everything else is set on the ticket type's own page. See Change a ticket's name, price or quantity.
