Each block you can move gets a small handle above it. Everything else on the page stays where it is.

The page updates as soon as you let go. To put it back where it was, press Escape or let go outside the preview.

Four blocks move: the date and venue, the description, where it is, and the tickets. The banner and the event name hold their place at the top.
Taking a block off the page
The eye on a handle removes a block from the page. While you are arranging, that block stays on screen, faded and marked Hidden, so you can put it back or move it somewhere else before you turn it on again. Select Done and it is gone, exactly as people see it.
The event name has an eye too. If you switch the name off and have no banner, your page has no title on it. That is allowed and nothing warns you. While the banner shows the event’s title, the name is part of the banner and has no eye of its own. Switch the banner back to a picture and the name’s eye is back as you left it.
The banner has an eye too. Switching it off takes the banner off the event page and nowhere else. The image stays on the Look tab, so your request forms and messages keep it. If you put the event’s title over the banner, switching the banner off shows the title as an ordinary heading instead. With no banner image there’s no eye.
Tickets has no eye. It can go anywhere on the page, and it always stays on it.
The promotion code field inside the tickets has an eye of its own, and so do the ones on the booking form and on Add to this order. Each takes the field off its own screen only. Codes still work from the link on each code's page. With no codes that can be used, there's no field and no eye. The widget has its own switch, Show the promotion code field, on the widget's page.
Good to know
- The arrangement belongs to this event. Other events keep their own.
- The page address says when Arrange is on. Reload it, or send the link to someone on your team, and Customize opens in Arrange again. Switching the preview between phone and desktop, or to another language, keeps Arrange on.
- While Arrange is on, selecting something on the preview doesn't take you to its control. Select Done to go back to that.
- Add content, at the bottom left of the preview, puts your own writing between the blocks. A piece sits under a block, so moving that block here takes the writing with it. Switching the block off leaves the writing where the block was. While you arrange, a dashed outline goes round a block and the writing under it, with the arrows that move them both. The eye is on the block's own outline and takes out the block only.
- A new arrangement reaches people when you publish, like every other change in Customize. Writing you add with Add content shows straight away.
- A block with nothing in it does not appear on the page. Write a description in Settings and it takes the place you left it in.
- Switching Where it is off also removes the address that appears under the date when your venue has no map.
