Put your artwork on an event page

Upload the banner and the logo, set the colors around them, and write the words under the title.

9 steps · About 5 minutes

  1. From the event's sidebar, select Customize

    Your eventCustomize
  2. Choose the Event page screen, then the Look tab

    go.tito.io/acme/summer-fetes-summer-fete/admin/customize?tab=look&zoom=50
  3. Under Banner, choose Picture beside Show

An event with no banner yet starts on None, which keeps the banner off its pages and keeps any picture for later.

To use a design in place of a picture, choose Artwork and pick one of the eleven under it. Each is drawn in your colors with the event's name on it, and changes when your colors do. The title settings work as they do on a picture.

Three of the designs move a little. They stay still for anyone whose device is set to reduce motion.

Your logo goes under an artwork banner, where it shows clearly in every color. To put it on the artwork, choose a place for it with Where the logo sits under Logo.

  4. Add your Banner image

Drag a file onto the control, choose one, or paste a link under Use an image URL instead. PNG or JPEG, up to 10 MB. The ideal size is on the control, and a banner is framed 3:1 wherever it appears, so Crop decides which part of a wide picture is shown. Every banner you've uploaded before, on this event or any other, is under Your banners. Select one to use it here.

Under the picture, select Add alt text to describe it for people using a screen reader, who hear it in place of the picture. Write what the picture shows, up to 250 characters. Leave it blank if the picture is only decoration. The same words go with the picture wherever else it appears: the widget, and emails that use the event's banner.

  5. Choose a Picture style

As uploaded shows the picture as it is. Two-tone shows it in two of your colors: the color behind the picture for its dark parts, and a light color from your palette for the rest. On an event started from a theme, Two-tone has that theme's name for it, such as Riso print.

  6. Add your Logo image

The same three ways in. Nothing crops a logo, so a wordmark and a round badge both work. A transparent PNG shows on your background colors without a white box around it. A logo you link to can also be an SVG.

  7. Set the colors

Page background is the one to start from, and the rest of the palette retunes around it. The card background, the text, the headings, the links and the button each have a control of their own, for when you want to place a color yourself.

  8. Write the Description

It's under From your event and account on the Words tab, with Edit beside it. It's the same description as the one in the event's Settings, so writing it either place changes both.

  9. Select Publish

Nothing you've done here reaches anybody until you do.
