Write a page

Write a page in the same editor you use for messages, at an address you choose.

1. From the event's sidebar, select Static pages, under Share

   If it isn't there yet, it's in All features. The section appears once the event has a page.

2. Select New page

3. Give the page a Title

   This is what the page is called in your list, and what shows in the browser tab. It isn't printed on the page. If you want a heading at the top, write one.

4. Choose an Address

   The last part of the page's web address. Keep it short and plain, like getting-here. Lowercase letters, digits and dashes.

5. Write the page

   The box is the same one you write a message in. It has bold, italic, links, two heading levels, bullets and numbers, and Insert details for a picture or a button.

6. Switch Publish this page on, then select Save page

   Some addresses are already taken. If an audience or another page is using the one you typed, the box says so and names what has it.

Looking at it first

Preview shows the page exactly as a reader gets it, draft or not. It's the only way to look at a draft, because a draft's address doesn't open for anybody.

A bar across the top of the preview says which of the two you're looking at.

Changing one later

Edit it and save. No booking depends on a page, so the new words are live straight away.

To take a page down, turn Publish this page off. The address stops being available and everything you wrote stays where it is.

Sending people to a page

Anywhere you write in this editor, select some words and press the link button. Your published pages come first, by name. Pick one and those words link to it.

That link holds the page itself, so renaming the page or moving it to a different address doesn't break it. Drafts aren't offered, because their addresses aren't available yet.

Links you write open in a new tab, wherever they are. Somebody part-way through choosing tickets keeps what they'd chosen.

Delete page is refused while something links to it. Take the link out first.
