Invoicing

The seller identity that heads every invoice you issue.

This page holds your own details, your bank account, the bank country used for euro bank-transfer instructions, and an account-wide choice about how tax appears on prices. Whether a given event offers pay-by-bank-transfer is a separate choice on the event.

Filling in Account holder and IBAN is what lets an account sell by bank transfer with no payment service connected. Buyers get those details and the order reference, and you mark each order paid when the money arrives.

With Stripe connected as well, Where transfers go chooses which of the two buyers are sent to. It starts on Stripe, so filling in your bank details never moves anybody off it on its own.

Good to know

• Every order can be invoiced, whatever it was paid with. The buyer opens the invoice from their order page, under the total they paid, next to their receipt. Owners, admins and staff open the same document from the order in the admin.
• Your own questions can be printed on the invoice. Ask one on the booking form, then select the pencil beside Order form on that question and turn on Show on the invoice, which is where a purchase order number or a cost center goes. See Choose who answers a question.
• Only a question asked once per order can be shown. A question asked of each attendee has an answer per person, and none of them belongs on a document covering the whole order, so the switch isn't offered there.
• The other half of an invoice, who it's billed to, comes from the buyer. They give their own billing name, address and VAT number when they ask for the invoice. See Bank transfers and invoices.
• Leave Legal / trading name blank and the invoice says it doesn't include your business details. It still issues, and it still takes a number.
• The date of supply on an invoice is the date the event starts. An event whose dates are free text has none to show.
