Add to an order

Add tickets, items or a donation to an order somebody already has, paid or not.

1. Open the order and select Add to order from its menu

   Invitation and portal orders don't offer it.

   Neither does an order being paid by bank transfer, whose invoice has already been sent.

2. Choose how many of what

   Tickets are at the top, then items and donations. Every ticket type and every offering on the event is listed, including ones that are off sale or fully booked, with a line saying which. Ask for more than is left and a warning says what ran short and by how much. Make more available and continue raises that quantity.

   A donation needs an amount typed beside it.

   Its price starts at nothing, so the box is where you say how much was given.

   Anything set to Included on a ticket comes with the new tickets too.

   The order gets one free with each ticket you add, the same as it would if somebody bought them on the event page. If one of those has run out, the warning names it and offers to make more available.

3. Set the amount, or leave it

   Amount to add is for a figure you agreed, like two of something for a round number. The lines keep their own prices and the difference shows on the order as a row of its own, named Discount or Surcharge unless you name it yourself. Leave it blank and the addition costs what its lines add up to.

   To price each line instead, turn on Or price tickets individually.

   That swaps the one amount for a Price box on every row, filled in with what the event charges. Type over it to charge something else, or type 0 to add that line for nothing. A donation always has its own box, in both modes.

   A running total appears once you've chosen something.

   It shows the total before tax, each tax rate on its own line, and what the addition comes to.

4. Choose how it is paid

   What you're offered here depends on whether the order has been paid for.

   On a paid order, the new lines are billed on their own. Complimentary adds everything straight away and charges nothing for it, so what the order is worth doesn't move. Paid offline adds it straight away too, at the prices on the form, and records that amount as paid. Payment required needs a payment service connected, card or PayPal. It emails the booker a link, which opens a page for paying for the new lines on their own. Nothing is picked for you: what you give away stays out of your income, and what somebody paid for outside Tito goes into it.

   On an order still awaiting payment, there's one payment ahead of it and the new lines join that. Add to what they owe charges for them, so the order's total goes up. Complimentary adds them for nothing and the total stays where it is.

   Complimentary overrules whatever you typed above.

   Any amount or price is ignored, and every line is added for nothing.

5. Select Add to order

   On a paid order, the booker gets an email.

   It lists everything on the order, with new tickets marked.

   The booker sees it on their own order page too.

   Under Payments it lists what was added, what it comes to, and a Complete payment link back to the same page the email points at, so a booker who lost the email can still finish.

   Until they pay, the order shows what is still to come.

   The new lines appear under the order's total as Awaiting payment. What the order is worth only moves when the payment arrives.

   On an order awaiting payment, the booker gets an email too.

   It says the order has changed, and names the new amount when there is one to name. Their payment link is the same one they already have, and it asks for the new total the next time they open it.

   The booker can no longer change an order you've added to.

   Changing it themselves would price every ticket at what the event charges today, undoing anything you agreed with them. They can still pay it. To change what's on it, cancel the payment and compose them a new order.

6. Take it back, if the booker never pays

   Open Actions on the order and select Cancel this change. The tickets it added go back on sale and the payment link stops working. The rest of the order isn't canceled.

   With two unpaid changes on one order, each has its own entry.

   They are named by amount.

   It clears itself as well, on the same schedule as an unpaid order.

   A change nobody pays for is canceled once the event's How long a payment link works for has passed, under Settings and then Payment.

   The entry goes once the booker starts paying.

   From the moment they choose card or PayPal there is a real charge that might land, so the change can't be canceled. It finishes once the payment either arrives or lapses. An invoiced change has no entry either.
