Cancel an invitation's tickets
Cancel every ticket somebody claimed with an invitation, and choose what happens to any money they paid.
5 steps · About 1 minute
-
On the invitation's own page, open Actions
Your eventShareInvitationsgo.tito.io/acme/summer-fetes-summer-fete/admin/invitations -
Select Cancel their tickets…
It's in the menu once the invitation has been claimed, and stays there after you revoke it.
-
Choose what happens to the money
If they paid, choose Refund what they paid or Keep the money. A refund goes back to the card or account they paid with. A free invitation skips this step.
-
Choose whether to tell them
Tick Email the invitee to say their tickets are canceled to send them the RSVP cancellation email. Otherwise nobody is emailed.
-
Confirm
Every ticket the invitation issued stops working, including any extra places they added later, and the places go back on sale. The invitation's status changes to Canceled.
You can cancel several at once.On the Invitations list, use Select to tick them, then choose Cancel their tickets… under Actions. Any you tick that nobody has claimed are left out, and the confirmation page says how many.
Good to know
- Revoking an invitation only stops its link working. Tickets somebody has already claimed keep working until you cancel them here.
- A ticket from an invitation can't be canceled on its own from Attendees. Its Refund or cancel… page has a button that brings you here.
- To give somebody tickets again after canceling, send them a new invitation.
