Currency conversion

What the converted total on a multi-currency event is, and which day's rates it uses.

An event selling in more than one currency shows one converted total in the event's own currency on your event overview and your Sales report, with what you took in each currency beside it. The converted figure is an estimate, and it's marked with ≈.

The per-currency amounts are the real money. They're what buyers paid. Your exports, the API and the PDF give every figure in the currency it was taken in.

See Payments for adding a currency to an event.

Which rates are used

Tito converts at the European Central Bank's daily reference rates, and the line under the total says which day it used.

The ECB publishes those rates once each business day, in the afternoon, Central European Time. On a Sunday the line shows Friday's date, and after an ECB holiday it shows the last business day. Tito uses the most recent rates published.

When the line says we haven't been able to update the rates, the converted figure is using an older rate than it should. Contact Tito support.

What reaches your bank

Where you have a bank account in a currency, Stripe pays that money out in the same currency and nothing is converted. Where you don't, Stripe converts it into a currency you do have, at Stripe's own rate on the day, and takes a conversion fee for doing it. Your Stripe dashboard gives the rate and the fee on each payment.

The converted total in Tito is the money buyers paid, before any fee. To match a bank statement, use your Stripe payouts.
