Print name badges

Print a sheet of badges for whoever the list is showing, with the lines and size you choose.

9 steps · About 5 minutes · Needs: Badge stock or plain card

  1. Open Badges under Manage

The attendee list has a shortcut of its own in its header. That one brings whatever the list is filtered to.

    Your eventManageBadges
  2. Check the line at the top says who you're printing for

It says either everyone on the event, or the people your search has narrowed the list to. The link on the same line switches to the other one.

  3. Choose the lines on the badge under What’s on it

The name is always there. Everything else is the ticket type, or a question your event asks. Each one shows the share of these people who answered it.

  4. Set each line to L, M or S, and use the arrows to order them

  5. Look at the badge preview

On a wide screen it's shown at actual size, in millimeters. On a phone it's scaled down to fit, and the measurement above it is the size the card will be. Select Try the longest name to see the worst case in this batch before you commit a box of card.

  6. Open How it prints and choose your Sheet

  7. Select Print now for the browser’s own print dialog, or Make badges for a PDF

A badge has no barcode or QR code.

It prints the ticket reference small in the corner instead. Somebody can read that out at the desk and look it up.

An event has one badge design, saved when you make the badges.
A ticket nobody has been named on prints without a name.

Somebody who bought five tickets and hasn’t said who they’re for gets five badges with the name space empty. The Name line counts them, so you can chase those names first or write them at the desk.

Printing on a part-used sheet

  1. Turn on Start part-way down a used sheet and say how many are gone

The first badge goes in the next free slot. The ones already peeled off are left blank.

Add blanks for walk-ups puts extra badges on the end.

They show the event and nothing else, so somebody writes the name at the desk.

Crop marks are for plain card you’ll cut yourself.

Reprinting one badge

  1. Open the attendee, then select Print badge from Actions

It uses the event's saved design and prints that one person. The same entry is on the attendee's row in the list, under the row menu.
