Put a ticket on or off sale
Stop or restart one ticket type's sales, by hand or at set times, and keep everything it has already sold.
5 steps · About 1 minute
-
Open the ticket type's own page
Your eventSet upTicket types -
Select the On sale switch beside its name
It changes as soon as you select it, and there's nothing to save.
go.tito.io/acme/summer-fetes-summer-fete/admin/ticket-types/1Off sale is a pause, not a removal.Taking a type off sale stops new orders and leaves it in your ticket list. To take it out of the event altogether, see Delete or archive a ticket type.
At set times
A ticket type can go on sale and come off sale at times you choose, so nobody has to be at a keyboard when they come round.
-
Open the ticket type, select Edit, then Advanced
-
Switch on Put this ticket type on and off sale at set times
Fill in Sale starts, Sale ends or both. Leave one blank for no limit on that side. The times are in the event's timezone.
-
Select Save
The times only apply while the On sale switch is on. A ticket that's switched off stays off whatever its times say, so leave it on and it goes on sale at the start time.
Before the start, your ticket list says when it goes on sale, for example "On sale from 1 Jan, 12:00", and the event page shows the ticket with the date booking opens. After the end, the ticket stays on the event page with the date booking closed, and nobody can buy it.
A ticket with price tiers sells at its tiers' prices only between its own start and end.
Several at once
From the list, choose Select, then tick the types you want and choose Put on sale or Take off sale from the bar that appears. Anywhere on a row ticks it, so you don't have to aim for the box.
If another type names this one as its companion, that rule pauses. You can change or remove it from that section without leaving the page. See Require a companion ticket.
A new ticket type
The form for a new ticket type has two buttons: Save and put on sale and Save off sale. See Create a ticket type.
